You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Having mentioned that this is more tailored towards geeks I'm surprised the ultimate geek actor isn't mentioned. That would be Bruce Campbell and the Evil Dead Trilogy.

Well, there are several, but I think this chart tries to identify the ones that resonate with geeks. I personally think the Bourne movies deserve a spot on the list.

I think thats missing is quite a few of them are not trilogies. Star Trek,Superman and Rocky had more sequels rather quickly and some of the others had other sequels but took a few years to come to the theater.

That was my thought upon reading it!! Technically, a trilogy should be a story on the same theme or that completes a story. Many of the movies on there don't fit that definition.

Here are some that I'd add to it:

Because chicks dig movies too:
Legally Blonde

Because it's Kung Fu:
Kung Fu

Because first babies talk, then 2 babies Talk, then they run out of ideas and make the pets talk:
Look Who's Talking

Because Mike Myers is awesome in these movies, but they each suck a little more:
Austin Powers

Because Vegas movies are cool:
Oceans Trilogy

Because I secretly want to be Jason Bourne:
The Bourne Identity

Because middle aged men should know which one to watch again:
Porkey's

Because it would be funny to see a movie with no blue bars:
Starship Troopers

For obvious reasons:
Wild Things

Koyaanisqatsi, powwaqatsi, naqoyqatsi

Philip Glass soundtrack goodness, but unfortunately I'd say each movie was a bit less good than the one before it
source(s):
Koyaanisqatsi on imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085809/
Powwaqatsi on imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095895/

Definitely the Bourne series. I actually added the Bourne series to a "Scientific Trilogy Meter" I came up with. http://tinyurl.com/bh7nfp

The Lethal Weapon and Ocean's series are also missing. If we include horror and comedy series, then the list gets absolutely huge, so I think those can be left out.
