- Pages, from the iPad specific iWork suite - As a writer, I plan to move all of my work that I used to do on my slow netbook to the iPad, using the bluetooth keyboard. Have a full-function word processing app on the iPad will make it that much easier to migrate.
- Evernote - With the iPad-specific version of this app, it will be nice to take advantage of the increased screen real estate and be able to show more notes at once.
- OmniGraffle - While it's one of the most expensive apps for the iPad, the ability to create Visio-like flow charts is an important part of the how the iPad will help in the works I create.
- eBay for iPad - I don't buy and sell much on eBay, but when I do, I prefer the full web page with more options than what the iPhone version of eBay offers.
- Need For Speed - I saw the demo of the game at the January 20th announcement and since I like a good driving game, this will be a great app to have for those times when you want to just relax and play around.
- ESPN Scorecenter - I use this app on my iPhone and to have more screen to work with, I can now see a greater picture of the games and sports scores I'm trying to keep up with.
- Windows RDC app - I know this is a long shot, but it would be cool to have the ability to RDC into a Windows system at work, for those times when I am doing my personal stuff but get that important phone call from work.
- NY Times viewer - I read the NYT almost every day and to have all of the stories available to me in once place is a time saver.
- ABC Player - To watch shows like Castle and Modern Family on the iPad.
- Hulu - I've caught many a show I've missed the night before on Hulu and to watch them on the iPad will make owning the device that much more useful.
- Vimeo viewer - Not sure if one is planned, but I use Vimeo more than YouTube and to manage the videos I post and watch others is something I hope makes it to the iPad.
- Echofon for the iPad - This twitter app has replaced all of the other apps and is the best one out there. Make an iPad version that expands the use of twitter functions.
- iCade - bring classic arcade titles like QBert and Donkey Kong to the iPad. This device uses the already approved MAME iPad app, along with the iPad inserted into the arcade-style cabinet, bringing hours of enjoyment to those of us that played the classic video games.
These are the apps that I want to use on my iPad. I'm sure once I start using it, this list will quickly expand.
How I work today with an iPhone and a MacBook Pro, looking for how to translate that work flow to an iPad.
