The time lapse program Gawker won't recognize my xbox usb camera on my macbook, but it gets recognized on my imac. How do I fix this?

Macbook: Leopard 10.5.6
Imac: Leopard 10.5.4

The Macbook doesn't have support for all only-USB no-energy devices, such as the Xbox camera. Sometimes it just doesn't work, sorry. It is not software related or anything.

The Macbook recognizes the camera when using programs like ichat or skype, it just doesn't recognize it when using Gawker.
