The right proportions for liniment made from: arnica, wintergreen oil, witch hazel, and rubbing alcohol?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$Cannot answer your question, but since you mentioned Arnica first, I am figuring that is a prime ingredient. I came across this serious medical advise trying to research your question....
Arnica should never be applied to broken skin ... very dangerous to the heart.
The above link is a good one for herbal remedies... lots of data and some citations for the data. Other than that though, I have no knowledge of its accuracy .... but make sure you read about Arnica. It is nothing to be experimented with!

The recipe you're looking for seems to be a family recipe, which is a variation of the Jow I posted above. Possibly only the person who told you the exact amounts could help you with getting the correct recipe.
Thanks, that's a good start, but I vaguely recall that there were different proportions.
