Not subtract. Subtraction is the opposite of addition.
You need to divide each side by 8.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm in grade 8 and just learning this.
8 x n = 20
Subtract the 8 from the left, and do the same to the other side, so subtract 8 from 20.
