It won't stop the oil from leaking since all gearboxes and engines get older. However, the new replacement spark plug retainers will protect them from any oil leak that tries to get in order to prevent a fire around the exhaust headers of your engine, especially if you do an emergency brake really hard for whatever reason. If you do want to replace any gaskets that are leaking around your engine, the dealership will most likely charge you since thats a separate service. Or you can do it on your own for cheaper.
