The lady smashed her mirror when she was cutting my hair. Does that mean bad luck for me, or her?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The tradition is that it is bad luck for the person who broke the mirror.
If you want good luck, stop thinking about bad luck, look for opportunities to work hard, do a good job, and stay positive.

M$If you believe in the superstition, then I'm afraid that the 7 seven years bad luck would be her fault. She broke it after all.
I always liked the story behind the 7 years bad luck. The romans believed that it took seven years for a persons body to regenerate.
I personally believe that when people first started using mirrors, they were expensive, rare and fragile, so it became ingrained into you (through the superstition) to be careful with them!
