The Beatles recorded "Hey Jude" today (July 31,1968) at Abbey Road Studios. Does anyone know in how many takes?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

On July 31st. 1968 2:00PM - 4:00AM in Abbey Road they did 4 takes of Hey Jude re-make (Takes 1-4, SI onto take 1) with the 4th being the best or at least thats what is marked on the recording sheet.

The Beatles recorded 25 takes of "Hey Jude" between July 29 and 30, 1968. (Note: they definitely did at least two takes, seeing as how an alternate take appears on Anthology 3.)
