Previously, I would have said he seemed like a friendly, family oriented and honest person.
Assuming that this entire swap of choosing Melissa and then going to Molly was pre-planned then he is a complete and total jerk. I think Melissa summed it up nicely by calling him a bastard.
If this were just an honestly bad situation where he truly did change his mind after the fact, there are more honorable ways of handling it such as quietly telling Melissa the facts privately and not DUMPING her on national television.
He may have gained notoriety but I don't think anyone has much of a lasting good impression of him anymore. I guess he wanted his minute of fame more than a good reputation.

He has the right to choose whoever he wants. If he felt like he made a mistake then he should be able to change his mind.
I pretty much think he's a peckerhead. (Am I allowed to say peckerhead in here?)
Yes, it's his life and he'll have to be the one to deal with his decision later in life. But hello, he put his personal business out there for everyone to see. I really liked him when he was on The Bachelorette but totally lost anything I had for him this season.
I only watched the last 2 weeks from the show, as after watching a bit of the first one it just seemed a bit fake. After watching the reunion last night, I think it only backs up my initial feelings.
If he wasn't sure, he should have "pulled a Brad" and not picked either, that way he'd be open for both of them later on if the girls still wanted to give him a chance. Why ask Melissa to marry him? Why not just ask to continue their relationship?
MEN! Blah!

I think Jason is straight-up a PLAYER! He gets with these girls, gets a little leg and then dumps them. Just look at how he did Jillian. He's a Pig. Love it or hate it.
I totally agree with adventure and unclebob29.
