Gameplay can most certainly evolve through the years and players tend to change directions with their style of play. If they think it's not working for them, why stick to it? Aggressive style of play may also be trending now that there is an abundance of really good poker players. Can't blame them. It's going to be a tough climb for every one of them in the tables to win this year's tournament.
