BROWN BELT TEST: DrMatt - PASS 4/4
A large part of getting to the upper belt levels on Mahalo Answers is based on points (earning 13,000 points, to be exact). But this is not the only factor that we consider before distributing high-level belts. The Mahalo staff also takes into account the kinds of contributions users make to our system.

Dr Matt has been part of Mahalo Answers since December and has always been a friendly and helpful voice in the community. It's great to have an expert around that can help people with their relationship questions. I have found that relationship questions tend to draw emotional responses from users, which doesn't always yield the best advice. Dr. Matt does a great job of providing clear cut and logical answers to some of the more difficult questions we see.

DrMatt is one of Mahalo's most consistent contributors since the beginning of Mahalo Answers, he has been helping answer a wide range of questions and has been especially helpful in answering the community orientated questions. Also DrMatt gives back to the community almost as much as he receives and is ranked within the Top 20 for Tips Given. Great Job Matt.

When we first started Mahalo Answers, there was a lot of concern about what we should expect from "experts" on a given topic. Are we looking for people who will just come in and tell everyone the RIGHT ANSWER, or was the goal for someone to come in with some real-world experience with a topic and just help guide the conversation? I feel like Dr. Matt gets us the best of both options - he usually has the right idea, and can help the person who's asking the question, but he also tries to start interesting, thoughtful discussions, and to encourage other members of the community to participate, get involved and have their voices heard. Plus, he's funny. He's a tremendous asset to Mahalo Answers and I'm happy to recommend him for a brown belt.

Dr. Matt has years of experience counseling people, and his expertise often shows up in the encouraging and nurturing comments he leaves for community members. We appreciate his thoughtful answers and interesting questions. Whether it is helping a new member through their first couple questions or replying to a heated comment thread, Dr. Matt always elevates the level of support in Mahalo Answers. I whole heartedly congratulate him on leveling up.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I believe that he is hiding his true identity. I do not believe that he is a Doctor nor named Matt.
I would like you to consider that Dr. Matt is IN FACT, the true to life Magnum P.I.
I'll let you decide for yourself:

Ok, joking aside... Hurray for Dr. Matt!
He gives some great answers and honestly seems to care about the people who ask them.

M$Use cream....JUST KIDDING!
Hehe... "Now presenting... Ego Cream. A little dab will do 'ya."
Congrats! We'll have to buy you the gallon size now!
COMMENT ABOUT THE STAFF COMMENTS:
Wow! My ego really was involved in this. I actually started to tear up with those very poignant comments. I'm actually very moved with what the staff said. The comments Mike and Lon made about taking charged conversations and flowing with them (guiding) and not taking the stance of being the holder of "truth" is VERY important to me. As a therapist, these are SO important and to have that recognized by others is incredible for me.
Thanks everyone! When I come down and visit, you all get a big hug from me. (Yes... you too, Lon. We can still be masculine and hug, right?)
His answers are almost always very helpful and thoughtful. He's a great member of the community.
Congratulations!

M$(I should REFUTE ANSWER right here.)
Oh stop... I just recently answered a question from Calacanis. I cut/copied from Wikipedia, didn't use quotes... and it was wrong. Great way to impress the boss.
And I'll start being a bit more unkind... but only to YOU, @bbrookin!
But no. You really do deserve this. You have a deft touch on some sensitive questions, and you can be funny with the best of them.
(Should we tell them about our friendly rivalry, or do you think it's evident? It's certainly more friendly than rivalrous!)

ha! the one on the right should be your new avatar
No Hawaiin shirt, fact kindarefuted.
How about THIS? I'm too sexy for my shirt!
And... You caught me. My true identity:
Look familiar?
I think despite concealing his true identity Mr Magnum (aka Dr Matt) deserves a brown belt. I hear PI's have to work undercover sometimes, and they should not be penalised for that.
Congratulations!
No, you are correct... I have not seen him in a Hawaiian shirt.
However, I HAVE seen him flying around with THIS guy in THIS helicopter!
Again, I will allow you to draw your own conclusions.
This is TOO funny! I knew he looked so familiar...You even have the right shirt(s)!
