He's out. Sounds like GM Steve Kerr wanted the team to focus on defense after the high-flying Mike D'Antoni years that saw the Suns score at will but also get scored on a lot. So Porter came in with that mindset and became the scapegoat when the transition proved too tough. So now the popular-with-the-players Alvin Gentry takes over and says he'll return to the fast-paced offensive style the Suns players -- and fans -- are used to.
