Personally speaking I think Blackberry is much more of a serious phone, while the iPhone is a toy. I prefer the look and style associated with Blackberry, however thats just me speaking of my taste.
I like my BB more than iPhones because of the possibilty to BBM with friends for free in a quick and easy fashion. Display, navigation and home screen are all easy and organized. The screen resolution on the Bold for example is actually better than that of the iPhone because it is smaller. Even though the BB is somewhat more serious it still allows you to watch movies, listen to music and play games. Besides the BBM killer app, e-mail works perfectly, you can synchronize up to 10 accounts.
Unlike the iPhone the BB has unlimited storage, potentially, you just have get new memory cards. Copy and paste is easy on the BB, I know this feature came out now on the new iPhone 3GS but I think its important to point out that BB had that feature since ages :P
The camera works well too, video, pictures, the whole thing. Easy to upload on the computer or send to Facebook. I have the Bold and browsing the internet is no problem, navigation is fairly simple but I do admit this is the one advantage of the iPhone. Except I hate typing on the iPhone and scrolling around and zooming is just as tedious so I think it doesnt matter wether you browse on a BB or iPhone.
As to which BB you should get, I can only reccomend the Bold as I have it and I am a satisfied customer. I used to have the Pearl which is great too if you like a smaller phone. I wouldnt reccomend the Storm as I have only heard bad things about it and I think its widely considered a flop. Also the newest BB, the Tour, looks marvelous and I will get it once its out in Europe.

As to which model, thats a lot more subjective as the keyboard plays a big factor.
I'd probably avoid the Storm as in my opinion that weakens the strengths of the blackberry whilst not offering the pleasure of the iPhone.

Thanks for your... very long and excellent reply. I'm amazed by the friendliness here, and I'm sorry to say that this was just an test question. :) I've already got an iPhone 3GS since about a month ago, but I'm also looking at the Blackberry (yes, please call me a phone nerd).
And it's really bad that there are only a few cell phone operators here in Sweden that sells BBs, and then they are sold in the business section of the operator.
Thanks,
Gustav

If you are going to be doing a lot of email/messaging then thats the area where the blackberry shines... and beats any other device (iphone included) As to which model, thats a lot more subjective as the keyboard plays a big factor.
