Palm Pre setup how to
How do I set up my Palm Pre to be recognized by the doubletwist mac app. What mode does the Pre need to be in (Media Sync/USB Drive/Just Charge) and what settings need to be made within the program. So far, when I connect the Pre under USB drive or Media Sync, the Pre shows up within the program, but it is identified as a miscellaneous drive and not as a phone or media player. Is there a documentation file that explains the process for the Pre that you could direct me to? I've read several articles that state that doubletwist is the best sync program for the Pre and I am personally tired of the process that exists with iTunes. Please reply ASAP.

Good luck cause I haven't had much luck with doubletwist at all. It seems to make my vista machine do some very strange things including discounting my network and messing with my IP address. I've uninstalled it and I am hoping that since it is still in Beta the issues will be fixed. Also you may find just dragging and dropping the files much easier. Also last I checked doubletwist still doesn't support playlists. Here's how I got it too work:
Open doubletweist
plug in your pre
tap on USB Drive
Sync with Doubletwist
Close Doubletwist
safely remove the usb device
Open doubletweist
plug in your pre
tap on USB Drive
Sync with Doubletwist
Close Doubletwist
safely remove the usb device

Aside from taking up ways in setting it up you must also have to take a loo with test equipment for it's effectiveness or for early detection of faulty parts.
