How to solve the HTC problem of "the sim card is missing"?

Hi, I have a HTC P3300. It worked fine for a few days but now I can't use it as a mobile phone... As I turn it on, it keeps appearing this message saying that "the sim card is missing"...

How can I solve this? I've tried to use some paper between the battery and the sim but it didn't help. Any clues?

on my nokia i had that happen to me. Take the battery out and the sim card out and then put them back in. I think the card just got bumped and is not in straight.

Does your phone still have function (ie can you go to settings?) If so try to go to settings and restore to original default. If not you pry have a damaged sim card and contact your phone supplier and have them send ya a new one.
