How to fix the "check connections" message on a Brother MFC-490CW when pressing the "scan" button?
The printer is connected to the network by ethernet cable. It's installed on one computer. This computer can print on the Brother printer. But when we press the "scan" button on the machine, we always get this message: "check connections".

I will recomend to reinstall the driver cause seems to be that the scan option is not available. the option wasn't install at the moment of the installation or the current one is not configured as it should. thats the reason that reinstalling the driver will cause that the default configuration will be load on the computer.
