I had the same problem. Using iTunes (Mac version) version 9.1:
- Select the track(s) that are misfiled.
- Use the Menu to select "File-Get" Info
- Select the Options tab. There is a "Media Kind" drop down box, which is likely set to "Music" at this time. Use the drop down menu to select "Audiobook"
- Click "OK".
The selected tracks should be filed in the audiobooks playlists.
I hope this helps, and happy reading!

How do I separate speech from music on my IPhone using ITunes?
I often import audio books from CD and it locates the files in the music area of ITunes. When I shuffle my IPhone these audio files get mixed with my music. How do I flag these as an audiobook or as spoken word so they are not part of the other music?
