Next Question
I like good cards, paper or electronic. A card, paper or electronic, with a short greeting without much thought is bad. Assuming that you are going to write a good personal message, it is much easier to find good paper cards. There are so many choices. But it is much harder to find good ecards. Here are 2 ecard sites that are pretty good: http://www.jacquielawson.com and http://www.ojolie.com. Then I would prefer good ecards because they are environment-friendly and I am not good at keeping paper stuff (letters, bills, cards, etc.).

nice points. i got an ecard once that made me smile for weeks. some are just that nice. there are things to be said for e-cards. it is easier to send a free e-card than it is to select a paper card and mail it. i personally like both. when i want to quickly send someone a note, i like free e-cards. when i want to take time to say just the right thing and give them something more rare, i like to hand select paper cards and send them out. sometimes i like just browsing the paper cards...

I would rather recieve a card in the mail, to me it has more sentiment. I love reading from someone elses handwriting, rather than what they typed. To me it takes more time and effort to pick out a card, buy it, sign it, post it and send it off. Rather than pick an overused e-card and send it to an email account I never really check. I like the more personalized route, and always will. Even if it is just them signing their name to the bottom of it, and letting the card do the rest.

seems like so few people send anything through the mail anymore. everything is going electronic. so i know what you mean about the sentiment.

definitely easier to keep the paper cards. well, i say easier. it is really easy to keep the electronic ones, too, but it is just finding them again... and if you don't keep backups, then, you lose them.
i have paper cards i have kept for years. especially hand made cards... now that takes time.
