It looks like a really good API to use on your website. The usage of social features on your website really helps to bring visitors and traffic to your site.

I would use this if I had a site of my own, but I decided to cancel my website because of financial problems.

Google has a really good reputation for services for your website, so a better question would be "Why would you not use Google Wave API?"

That's my two cents.

I'm awed by the fact that Google is providing open source and access to its api. You will be able to build custom apps. Google is bringing content management, document storage, and organization structure too your office, for near free. I can see an new generation of wealth for those realizing, they can use Wave to manage all their corporate documentation.

1. Developers will use Wave to build their design documentation
2. Authors will get real time feedback as they design their stories
3. Courthouse will use Wave to organize letter documentation and case history information
4. Engineers will use Wave to manage they blueprints and modify vector content through cust apps.
5. Bloggers will use wave to improve their blog content
6. Wiki could even move to wave.
The range of possiblities will be stagger. I sound like Google figured out that if you want a powerful application get a large group of developer to create apps for the framework. Wave makes the browser disappear and the application come to life.
