Will Yahoo and AOL merge?

This is highly unlikely. They are two losing companies, so why would they merge? It would be smart if they partnered years ago, possibly, but merge, I don't think so. Yahoo probably should have sold, but it did not. It missed that opportunity.

What does a merger have to offer for the two companies?

I would certainly hope not, then Yahoo! would suck as bad as AOL. The only service I use at Yahoo! is their mail, and I gave AOL (after being suckered into using them as my first service provider) 14 years ago.

Like the above poster, I personally don't see any way for two losing companies to merge and come out ahead, except for maybe starting their bankruptcy papers sooner rather than later.
