I think there will always be reason to supervise robots. As of yet, robots don't have the level of judgment human beings do to know when it would be wise to either cease or begin an operation.
Repair is certainly becoming more automated, but for control a human still needs to be there.

• ABB is using remote monitoring to determine fault for failure. Training can be done offline in simulators and programming the device without downtime.
