Possibly. There is a theoretical efficiency increase from the current 30% efficieny to around 40% efficiency. That is in terms of efficiency of converting light into usable power.
In theory, it would be cheaper to create these panels then ones using current technology. I can't tell you if this is enough for more wide spread adoption, but for people intrested in home solar power it would definately be a major step forward.
