Tanner's Coffee Company looks like your best bet, they don't specify that it is free, but I'd imagine that would be good for them and it looks like it's in your area:
Tanner's Coffee Company
11901 Santa Monica Blvd

This one also looks reasonably close:
LEONIDAS CHOCOLATE CAFE
168 S. Beverly Dr.

Starbucks offers free Wi-Fi. It is not specifically advertised as free but it is possible to use it (almost) for free so I figured I would describe it here as it's usually very easy to find a Starbucks. These are your local Starbucks that offer Wi-Fi:

Santa Monica at Bundy
12100 Santa Monica Blvd.
West Los Angeles, CA 90025
(310) 571-9262

Santa Monica & Pontius
11155 Santa Monica Blvd.
West Los Angeles, CA 90025
310-312-2903

Westwood
1161 Westwood Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90024
(310) 208-5505

Broxton & Weyburn - Westwood
10955 West Weyburn
Los Angeles, CA 90024
310-209-1626

Brentwood Village Court
11700 Barrington Court
Los Angeles, CA 90049
(310) 472-7119

One Westside Place - L.A.
11280 Olympic Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90064
(310) 478-0045

Westwood & Missouri - Westwood
1898 Westwood Blvd.
Westwood, CA 90025
(310) 470-8494

Wilshire Boulevard
2525 Wilshire Blvd.
Santa Monica, CA 90403
(310) 264-0669

Santa Monica & 26th, Santa Monica
2461-A Santa Monica Blvd
Santa Monica, CA 904042065

Starbucks offers many perks if you have a registered Starbucks card. In this case, you would need to purchase a Starbucks card (gift card basically) at a Starbucks store. The minimum you can add to a new card is $5. Then you need to "register" this card on their website. Then you are entitled to their perks available to people with registered Starbucks cards. Here's a link to this page on their website:

https://www.starbucks.com/cardrewards/default.asp

The Wi-Fi is provided by AT&T (you then register for a free account with them). You are entitled to one free Wi-Fi session each day for up to two hours. The Starbucks card must have been used once in the last 30 days. This includes the initial act of loading money on it or any use of the card. This would assume that you occassionally like to purchase something at Starbucks but with their member perks (free syrups etc.) I find that I've also saved a good bit of money on my occassional indulgences.
