When i try to log onto Windows Live Messenger it keeps coming up with 'Error code; 8e5e0211' and i cant seem to fix it, how do i fix it?

Last night I was on Windows Live Messenger till like 4am talking to a mate, and then my internet went. I managed to get it working again and I tried to log onto Messenger and it kept coming up with "We can't sign you in to Windows Live Messenger - Signing in to Windows Live Messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailble. Please try again later" So i click on 'Show detail' and i get Error code; 8e5e0211. But when my friend signs in he can sign in, does it have anything to do with whether im Hotmail.co.uk or Hotmail.com? As im Hotmail.co.uk and hes Hotmail.com
The last question that asked this i tried it and it didnt work, is there anything else i can do?

This question has already been answered in Mahalo. So I post it up here.

Click on Start then Run
In Run, type: %appdata%\microsoft
There will be a folder named MSN Messenger
Right click the MSN Messenger folder and delete

However the asker has mentioned that he needed to restart after deleting the folder to get it to work.
