I use weebly.com for my website and my blog. It's easy to design pages, you don't have to know html at all! You can update your blog easily and publish it live with the click of a button. Best of all, there is no charge for using weebly unless you want a special domain - even that is inexpensive for a year. You do have the option of upgrading for a fee if you'd like some of the features such as the ability to incorporate audio onto your site.
Adding google adsense is very easy and you can have as many ads as you want on your blog. You can add the Twitter or Digg widgets (or any others) too.

for example with wordpress.com you can't put ads on your blog (http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/) and for blogger.com you can put ads but there site is not for professional and in general blogs with blogger.com doesn't have much visitors.
or you can buy a hosting space from any web hosting company and install the wordpress.org platform for blogs in just 5 minutes.

Actually, adsense rules only allow three ads per page.

Besides the three ads per page you can add three additional links and two search boxes (if you'd want to - I don't but some folks might like the options).

you can use blogger.com or wordpress.com but you won't have the full control of your blog. for example with wordpress.com you can't put ads on your blog (http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/) and for blogger.com you can put ads but there site is not for professional and in general blogs with blogger.com doesn't have much visitors.

Another fan of word press. It has good templates, some easy to use widgets for customizing, and full CSS template access if you have skilz to make the blog totally your own.

I like Tumblr. It has simplicity yet great features. It also directly posts everything you post to twitter. Tumblr lets you post regular post, photo, link, quote, conversation, or video in a quick and easy way. Also it has many templates. I got an impression that it has somewhat similarity to Twitter, but in a little bit more complex way. The most important thing is, blogging is fun with Tumblr ...Anyway I have blogger.com, too.
