What is the significance of a little blue arrow in front of the battery symbol in the status bar - top rt
I have a first generation 16GB iPod Touch. Blue arrow symbol appears when docking device in Marantz IS201 Universal Dock for iPods?

The little blue arrow indicates that the ipod is playing. Your dock seems to trigger it. Does it still display when you pause the music? I wouldn't worry about it either way since if it is plugged in you aren't draining the battery or anything.
It is the play symbol in the status button. You are playing music when the blue arrow appears. See page 11 of the use's guide for a description of all of the status icons.
