from any computer either a Mac or a PC go to some of the sites that give you an anonymous IP address so that you can surf anonymously, Try a google search. But why do you want to do that?

I occasionally use the-cloak.com when I need to view non-personalized US SERPs. It's free with a bandwidth limit.

Apparently it's not anonymous using IE on Mac, but I think Firefox works.

http://www.the-cloak.com/anonymous-surfing-faq.html

I only use it to see US SERP results so haven't looked into how robust the anonymity is.

I use Hotspot Shield to access US-only content, like tv shows. Speed's pretty good.

Since you are a mac user I assume you'r using Safari as your web browser.
Using NeoTunnel will allow you to surf the web anonymously by using a tunneling proxy. They also have made great instructions on how to install it.
So if you're interested here's a link to their site: http://neomailbox.com/support/install-guides/26-anonymous-surfing/54-anonymous-surfing-safari-osx

Google's Chrome Browser has an Incognito feature (ctrl+shift+N) that allows no trace of the sites you visited to be retained on your PC.

Tor is best for real anonymousness, but it slow. If you want something faster try something like hotspotshield, it's anonymous enough, but if you do something wrong the cops can most likely find you!
