What happens if energy consumption increases four fold in the next twenty years?

What type of devices will become common?
Will life expectancy increase?
Will decentralized energy power mills become more common?
Will computers become more capable of holding larger amounts of memory?
Will food become more plentiful and cheaper?
Will Inflation decrease?
What will be the strange attractors that emerge?
Should I buy commodities now, if energy consumption is predicted to increase? (coal, gas, oil)
Will Solar energy ever catch up with nuclear?
Can the existing power grid handle a four fold increase in power consumption?
Will we see more electrical vehicles?
Will massive fuel center power generators become common in third world countries?
Will Fusion provide the need energy or will coal?
