Pod casts are (usually) downloaded directly from the server they are hosted on so iTunes is unlikely to know how many downloads of there have been.

The owner of the server could see how many times it has been downloaded via the server logs, or if they use Feedburner (a google ap) then they are able to track number of users and a variety of other information. There are, of course other hosting/tracking solutions...

If the pod cast isn't yours then I don't know how (or if) you could find out how many people download it, in fact I'd be interested to see what others say about it.
