I certainly believe Oracle will try to capitalize on MySQL. They just invested $7.4 billion in Sun. They would be foolish not to try to get a return on that investment, and MySQL is probably one of Sun's products with the strongest potential for revenue generation.
That said, does Oracle even have the legal right to "un-open-source" the code that has already been released? Even if they do stop releasing the code they write from now on, the community uses MySQL enough at this point that an open source fork would probably rise again and become popular in the same way that open-source MySQL has.

What do you think about Oracle's ownership of MySQL?
1. Oracle says they support open source MySQL and are excited about the product. The MySQL product netted $81 million in the 4th quarter of 2008, a 55% increase in revenue from a year ago.
