I like some of the new window management features, its less annoying UAC, its slightly improved performance, and the new dock/taskbar. I don't like that only the Professional version and up will have most of the good features, and I don't like that it still lacks many features like native PDF integration/support, ISO mounting, and stuff like that.
I still think that Snow Leopard is/will be better though. OS X is already way ahead of Windows in terms of performance, and Apple's taking more measures with Snow Leopard to improve it further than Microsoft is with Windows 7. Windows 7 may also improve security, but again OS X is already way ahead. I think that the whole user experience is more unified in OS X (and will be with Snow Leopard) -- with Windows it's kind of like you have to learn a new use/navigation method for every window and program. Use Vista next to Leopard and you will see that there's no contest. Use 7 next to Snow Leopard and it will be the same story.

You can't really compare OSX to Windows 7, because they both have very many different pros and cons. Since OSX isn't as used, you don't get as many virsuses/malware in general, but you also don't get many games (almost all are released on Windows). OSX tends to be a bit easier to use for computer newbies, while Windows is a bit more supported by hardware manufacturers and driver writers.
There's also the difference in price, which does not favour the mac side of things.

Dislikes - crippled version (only run 3 apps at once) will be sold for netbooks. Still separate 32 bit and 64 bit versions. Still has the registry, so you still need antivirus/spyware software. Despite the hype, nowhere near as fast as XP, OS X, or Linux. Presumably wiill still require software activation.
Snow Leopard isn't out yet, but OS X is still way ahead of Windows as an OS - faster, more powerful, more stable, and simpler.

Besides the things that everyone is talking like speed, cleaner interface and the taskbar, i like the new wireless manager, the new way it handles readyboost drives, the relatively easy update from vista and the way it groups notifications. What i don't like so far is the lack of build in virtualization solution, i really hope that when it ships, it have hyper-v integrated.

I happen to have been using it quite a bit since the beta's been released. It really feels like Vista done right. Since With the Win7 Beta that I had wouldn't let me on the internet I gave up on it very quickly and erased it from the hard drive. Typical Windows though (too much trouble to include the needed drivers or for that matter even provide access to any needed drivers)

Like - smaller footprint and faster than Vista, Much improved networking, especially wireless. Some cool user interface tricks - dragging an app's title bar to a screen edge maximizes, minimizes, or tiles the window, and shaking it closes or reopens all open windows. Dislikes - crippled version (only run 3 apps at once) will be sold for netbooks. Still separate 32 bit and 64 bit versions. Still has the registry, so you still need antivirus/spyware software.
