What are the best websites for an IT Manager to check before work every day?
You're an IT Manager of an international organization and every day you want to make sure that there are no significant power outages, network outages, virus outbreaks or other nastiness in the world that could impact your environment. You want to do this every day so the information needs to be either dynamic or reported often.

Add the top ten attack source IPs to your firewall. Should be updated regularly if you do this manually.
https://www.sans.org/newsletters/newsbites/
View online, or better: subscribe to e-mail newsletter. "Spend five minutes per week to keep up with the high-level perspective of all the latest security news. New issues are delivered free every Tuesday and Friday."
https://www.sans.org/newsletters/risk/
"Delivered every Thursday, @RISK first summarizes the three to eight vulnerabilities that matter most, tells what damage they do and how to protect yourself from them.
"@RISK adds to the critical vulnerability list a complete catalog of all the new security vulnerabilities discovered during the past week. Thus in one bulletin, you get the critical ones plus a complete list of the full spectrum of newly discovered vulnerabilities."

Weekly bulletin of vulnerabilities. Better to subscribe via e-mail.

Two great answers well worth the $5, but this one hit more of the spirit I was looking for and introduced me to new sites.
