What are some good tips for editing audio podcasts?

I do a couple of audio podcasts. I use Skype, Pamela, and a headset with my Windows PC. What are some good tips to get the best sounding audio for my podcasts?

Port the Audio into a editor of choice. Audacity works well enough and can support multiple tracks and is free. Be sure to record in the best quality wherever you can and always edit a copy of the original and keep an original, unmixed source file.

I have it recorded as a .WAV file in stereo with me on one track and the others hosts on the other track.
