Often, Facebook may go down if there is a lot of traffic, there are problems or if they are uploading a new feature.

For me, it seems like Facebook is working - however it may have been a traffic problem and that lots of people had signed on at once.

You can avoid this by signing on at times where people would generally not sign on. Otherwise, you'll just have to make do with when it is up and when it is down.

Its probably not down. It probably just has too many people on at the moment..Try signing on in a half a hour or so and some people might be off by then.

I doubt Facebook was down. I logged in today and was browsing my friend's profile. It did take awhile to load the homepage but other then that, i didn't noticed anything. If its down for you, I'm sure they will fix things within the next hour.
