Just as @morriss003, I also use Google for it's simplistic design. (plus it's built into my Firefox) But, not only for that reason. Google offers many other features besides search. I use Gmail for my main email, and have had no better web based email client. Google maps is very handy and is built directly into my iPhone's mapping application. It does a great job of integrating all of these products seemlessly with your Google ID.

The only deterrent I see is that Google collects massive amounts of personal data. Then again, there's no guarantee that any website on the internet isn't using the information you give them. Always be cautious. Google probably knows more about me than my own family ;)

All in all, I've grown up using all three of these search engines, and Google has hands down had the best user experience and most important, the best results.

Good answer. I'm a googler too. I use the word processor to write and post my ebooks and I use the speadsheet to keep track of the temperatures, the rainfall and when I water on my farm. I wrote a knol about potting plumeria and I have Chrome open along with Firefox. I am not worried about the data collection, since I grew up during the late sixties and early seventies, attended all kinds of Vietnam protests and figure that the FBI probably has a small file on me anyway.

I've used Chrome off and on. It's blazing fast. I love it, but not enough to bring me away from Firefox.

I've also come to the realization that privacy is a myth. No point in fighting it, in my opinion. I mean, I'm not going to blast my phone number and address in public channels, but it seams unrealistic to think that I can shield myself from it completely.

I'm one of those people who really like a minimalist page. Yahoo and AOL are for people who are not minimalists. Google is my choice because there is no way to be distracted by the other stuff. I almost always find what I need by googling. I like the ads next to the results, because they are clean, brief and sometimes useful. And sometimes they are stupid, I get that.
