Sexy Facebook ads.

Am I the only one getting a ton of sexy ads on Facebook? Are boobies the only way to get clicks on Facebook?

Please post your favorite sexy ad from Facebook below.

I am not lucky enough to get such ads. I get the same ads with the images of Katie Couric and Seth Meyers!

May be, it has something to do with your profile. See if there will be any different images, if you change "Interested in" and "Looking for"!

I've noticed them lately, too. They're eye-catching for sure, but I haven't felt compelled to click one.

I've been getting the "I'm Happy I Lost my Job" one.

/Checks again

Now I get the top one as well. Good thing I can give a thumbs down "offensive" to ads.

I've gotten a couple of these also. I never clicked on any of these. But if you click on the one that says make a cartoon out of you,(Supposedly takes a photo and changes into a cartoon.) my firewall said it was spam/adware. Maybe facebook needs to screen better.

Another of my friends said to simply turn off your gender. If you do you stop getting these kinds of ads.

I have yet to see any boobies on facebook, but I did see a funny one yesterday.

It was a picture of a guy in a military uniform holding a check. The caption below read something like this: "I lost my job, but now I am making over $7,000 per month from government grants...."

How ironic...

I stopped blocking ads on sites I use a lot. I figure if I don't support them they will go away.

I get the same sort of ads displayed to me too. I can't think of anything listed in my profile that would make anyone think I'm a "post-boobie-posters-all-over-my-room" guy, let alone an algorithm.

My guess is: You're a dude, you get the boobie ads.

Most good ad agencies are using a technique that sort of skims through your cookies and see's what you have been searching for or look at on other web sites. Not saying this is what Facebook is doing, but that may be why you get certain ads and other people don't.

Using sexy woman in advertising is not a new concept, these facebook ads are not the first time i've seen such an innovation online.

Let's look at some historical sexy ads shall we?

Coca Cola - 1930s

I think the bathing suits are a bit more relevant to suntan lotion than machine tools. I remember billboards of naked ladies advertising soap in Italy. They were clean.

You guys need a more critical eye. That Tyrell ad is not from the 1950s. It's a parody ad and is a reference to Blade Runner.

Must be a guy thing, because I've never seen ads like that on Facebook. I just keep seeing the "free purple Macbook" ads. How does Facebook know my favorite color is purple? Craziness.

I'm not getting them. I got the mac ads when I just checked. Maybe it depends upon what you have been clicking on in the past?

The Facebook ads I get are about weddings and dieting. The wedding ads started after I changed my status to engaged indicating that Facebook ads are customized to your personal facebook settings. So, if you are getting half naked female ads, I am going to bet you are male and single.
