If you are on a PC
I'd recommend Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
This will remove and neutralize any malware that is highjacking your system. After you install it, update it (simple) and run a COMPLETE scan. Follow the directions after the scan.
Also get a good antivirus, if you have malware chances are your AV program is garbage. I use and recommend a program called Avira Antivir Personal. http://www.free-av.com/
I'm not as familiar with Macs..
