A couple of years ago, "Viral Videos" were all the range and recently, this methodology has been usurped by the combined medium approach that Jason is applying. He's leveraging social, video, tangible and traditional marketing methods to promote a new product every day.
All of these things combine into a single answer. Yes, it's good marketing.
