You need to connect your Iphone to your computer.
Initially you will more than likely get the same error again, (try to let the equipment sort itself out!)
If problems persist, try switching off your Iphone and restart it without breaking the connection.
Everything should work again properly...fingers crossed XX

iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occured (0xE8000065). Any ideas anyone?

I think this solution is: You need to connect your Iphone to your computer.
