In terms of managing your music, no it is not. iTunes has had autofill ever since I first got my iPod (2006). The autofill is based on all the other music that you may have already on your iPod/iTunes. For instance, if you already have some music from a specific artist and add another song it will autofill that artists name when typing the first few letters of the name. Its the same concept of t9 texting on your cell phone.
