IMHO, I would say to play fast to take advantage of your large stack and put pressure on the smaller stacks.
Of course, this depends on how close you really are to the money and how small the other stacks are in comparison to yours and the type of players you are playing.

If you are near the money in an online tournament and many players are low on chips it better to play fast, or to stall to the money first?
You are alotted a Timebank online to do with as you please so you can stall and assure making the money or play faster trying to get more chips.
