As of today Wolfram-Alpha is mostly hype and though it might prove competition to Google in the future it isn't more than an academic curiosity at this point. It reminds me so much of the launch of Cuil, megahype, unremarkabale performance. Google will continue to innovate and perhaps Wolfram-Alpha type technology will make it into Google in the future.
