Their hope is that by doing a refresh now, they buy time to get Windows Mobile 7 completed. Both WinMob and Symbian are suffering from having older OS code bases than iPhone, WebOS, Android, but it takes time to rebuild an OS, so they have to keep momentum with strong new hardware and what improvemnts they can to the existing os.
