Try going to the voicemail screen and clicking on the audio source button in the top right hand corner and selecting the bluetooth device. Then go over to the iPod tab and play the music. This should play your music without having to make a call.

How to listen to music on iPhone through Apple's Bluetooth Headset?
Official or unofficial ways.
I have found this way:
1. *#307# Dial, press the bluetooth headset button twice.
2. Answer on iPhone, press source.
3. Select bluetooth headset.
4. Press home button, open iPod, play anything.
Wonder if there is anything easier than that.

I also tried the method in the original post (dialing *#307#) and it doesn't work either. The phone does start to do something when I press the "Call" button, but it results in "Error performing request: Unknown Error."
I'd *love* to be able to listen to music through my bluetooth headset - it's the sole reason I bought the headset!
