Technology and Warfare has increased killing potential into ratios that exceed 1:20,000. Today, a soldier does not see his opponent; his opponent could be remoting controlling a killer droid thousands of miles away and home for dinner that night.
I don't see a North Korean Invasion because two destroyers would wreck havouc up thousands of soldiers. This is not 1950s and human sacrifice is not a viable tactic with, such high kill ratios.
