At least in my life, e-books have changed the location, duration, and genres of my reading habits. With the ability to read e-books on my phone I find myself reading more frequently but in shorter episodes. I also started reading texts that I never would have read in book form. My best example would be that I now read poetry since I can read a few pages at a time while waiting in line.
Most of my reading is still done with books though so overall my habits haven't changed that much. I don't use the bookmarking features because I find them distracting to use when I am reading. I spend a lot of time on my computer so staring at a screen to read a book isn't annoying or foreign to me.
e-books have the advantage of being cheaper (not by enough if you ask me) and more portable (in the sense that you can take hundreds of e-books with you on an iphone or kindle in less space than one book would normally take up).
