I run WIndows Vista 64 and love it (running it on a QCore2 with 4gigs of ram). It really requires the service packs and patches, however. The initial build that came out when it was first released had lots of issues, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone to deal with all the problems if they couldn't patch it. Patched however, it's fantastic and my favorite Windows version so far - though I have not yet seen Windows 7, and hear it is even better....

vista is only the appearance,very good but i think some security optimizations have there rather than windows xp.performance is really minimum than other versions of windows.
