You essentially need to pair the 2 bluetooth gadgets. Set one in discovery mode and set the other to search and you should see the other device in the one you are using to search. Usually people use their laptop as the discover-er and set their headset, cell phone, etc. in discover mode.
On page 10 of the pdf is a brief summary.

The manual provided from hp is: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00186949.pdf You essentially need to pair the 2 bluetooth gadgets. Set one in discovery mode and set the other to search and you should see the other device in the one you are using to search.
