I'm going to assume that your using a standard wifi router. What you would need to do is access the settings page of your wifi router. This is usually done by pointing your browser to a website that consists of a set of numbers called an IP address. To do this you need to open a web browser on one of your computers that is already connected to the network and browse to the page.
The number you need to browse to is dependent on what your router is set to. Some default IP addresses include: 192.168.0.1 (for most dlink routers) and 192.168.1.1 (for most linksys routers). If you don't know which one to use try both.
For example: enter "http://192.168.1.1" in the address bar and hit enter.
Once you browse to the page you will usually be greeted by a login box which you need to enter a user name and password to unlock. If you have not set your own password for this usually it will be (user: admin password: admin) or (user:admin and password left empty).
Once you successfully authenticate you will see your routers setting screen. From here you need to browse to the wireless settings page or wireless security page where your wireless access key should be display. This is the key you will need to enter on your ipod touch to successfully connect to the network.
If you need any further help feel free to ask me.
