1. The National Sports Press <--- Sounds ok. "press" sounds a bit old fashioned perhaps.
2. National Sports News <---- Again, sounds ok. news might be more generic and forgettable, but doesn't have "press" in it. So, might be better.
3. National Digital Sports <----- I think "digital" has the problem of being perhaps looking like 'digital sports" being a type of sport. (Would that be the sport of typewriting?)
4. Daily Digital Sports <------ Daily could be good, but if people think of it as being up to date, then they might think of it as not good if it is daily. I personally look at sports sites for scores and want them as up to date as possible. It also has the same problem with "digital."
5. Digital Sports Daily <---- Same as above, just different emphasis.
Perhaps go with Sports Daily - Digital Edition. Or Sports - Digital Edition.
With that said, the name doesn't necessarily mean that much to people. I can think of ESPN where the letters initially stood for entertainment and sports programming network. Of course, entertainment is no longer the primary purpose of ESPN. Or perhaps Dash where the meaning of a little bit (like a dash of salt) is not important and doesn't seem to hurt the brand.

"Daily" makes me think, I go on there once a day because that's how often it's updated. So I suggest not using the word "Daily".
I don't like "Digital" in the title, for the same reason that things with the number "2000" were cool but things with "2010" are lame. I think the word "Digital" makes it try to sound like too much of an attempt to sound futuristic, and it will become lame later, so personally I don't like it.
Your title should also match your URL. So if you name your site "National Sports News", it should be nationalsportsnews.com .
I hope my opinion helps!!

Out of your ideas, I think I like Digital Sports Daily the best..then you could also refer to it as DSD, which rolls off the tongue pretty well. I would say no to the first two; they are a little forgettable. I think having 'digital' in the other names sets them apart a bit and gives them a bit of uniqueness.

I like "National Sports News" and "National Sports Press" without the word "The". "Daily" makes me think, I go on there once a day because that's how often it's updated. So I suggest not using the word "Daily".

The four mentioned sites do have their appeal but the words "daily" and "digital" tend to label the site incorrectly. "Daily" is good for bulletins and "digital" for wrist watches. "National" sounds professional but ignores international events. I would suggest something like: - Your Sports Journal
- Sports United
- Sports Newswire (SN)
- Time-out
- Sports Times
